SJE SignalMaster®10ft Mechanically-Activated, Narrow-Angle Control Switch
SJE SignalMaster®10ft Mechanically-Activated, Narrow-Angle Control Switch
A mechanical action is used by the SJE SignalMaster® 1011678 to establish a reliable connection inside the switch. This float switch prevents the chattering that occurs with mercury float switches. Additionally, since mercury is not utilized to make the connections inside this switch, there is no possibility that it will contaminate the water source.
A narrow angle float switch is the 1011678. Thus, it is not necessary for the float switch to rise extremely high in order to activate the switch.
Because of its relatively low amp rating, this switch is most frequently used to regulate an alarm circuit. This narrow angle float switch would sound the alarm before a wide angle float switch because of its narrow angle. In other words, if an issue is found, you will be informed sooner.
The 1011678 is a float switch that is typically open. It is therefore perfect for detecting high water levels. The float switch will be open whenever the water level is low. The switch will close and alert the control panel to the need to sound the alarm whenever the water level rises too high.
